When you purchase a hand-painted piece for
your child, you want it to last - so do I!
The children's furniture that I use is constructed
of only the finest quality materials. I choose only high
quality "child-proof" hardwoods. Every furniture
piece is designed to last a lifetime!

County Art and Antiques Co., located
in Doylestown, PA. applies a durable child resistent, water
resistent lacquer finish to all of our furniture. If you
have a family piece that you would like refinished and then
handpainted in any of our designs, we can handle this through
our finisher. You will truly have a precious family heirloom!
To protect little fingers,
I use only the highest quality hinges and
hardware.
Should
everything match the nursery?
My experience has been that, when purchasing a rocking chair, rocking
horse, or toy chest, consider where the child will be using it. Most
likely, these items will be enjoyed in the family room as opposed to
the child's own room. So, select woods, colors, and designs that will blend
with that room. I will be happy to help you coordinate colors and designs.
Will
you customize a piece for me?
Yes, I customize furniture all the time - be it as simple as matching
colors or as intricate as creating a new design.
If
you provide fabric and/or wallpaper swatches,
I will customize colors and designs to
complement your room decor. Contact
me for more information. (There is
no extra charge for changing colors.
However, there is a 20% upcharge for
custom work.)

Can I personalize
my selection?
Absolutely! To make your piece truly a family heirloom or keepsake,
you can order an INSCRIPTION of your choice on a handpainted design detail
underneath the Toy Chest lid or Rocking Chair seat. $45. An engraved
brass plate is another option @ $20.
